Chelsea FC confident of agreeing new contract with emerging England star

Chelsea FC are understood to have no fears regarding the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi and they are positive that the winger will commit his long-term future to the club.

The teenager made his breakthrough for the club last term and he managed to contribute a decent tally of five goals and five assists from the 23 appearances in all competitions.

Still, there have been doubts whether the 18-year-old will extend his contract beyond the summer of 2020 but Football.London cites that there are no concerns in regards to the same.

The youngster is currently on the verge of returning to first-team action after a serious Achilles injury and reports indicate that he will become an important player under Frank Lampard as the season progresses.

With the regular gametime, the west London side believe it would only be a formality before the young graduate puts pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract.

Hudson-Odoi’s prospects of playing time have been enhanced with the departure of Eden Hazard while Willian and Pedro have not looked in the best of form this season.

There has been speculation that he could be rewarded with a bumper contract of around £180,000-a-week to justify the club’s faith in his abilities going forward.
