James Rodriguez makes Premier League transfer decision amid Real Madrid exit talk

Colombia international James Rodriguez has reportedly decided to snub advances from Premier League clubs during this summer’s transfer window.

The 27-year-old has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool over the past month amid reports that Los Blancos are prepared to sell him following his loan return from Bayern Munich.

However, according to Marca, via The Mirror, the playmaker is unwilling to consider a move to England and would rather prefer a switch to the Serie A this summer.

Rodriguez has been linked with the likes of Juventus and Napoli in the Italian top-flight but the latter could have the edge with former Los Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti in their ranks.

Rodriguez has spent the past two seasons on loan with Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga outfit have indicated that they are likely to bypass the option of recruiting him on a permanent basis.

He has bagged 15 goals during his two seasons in Munich where he has been hampered with a couple of muscular problems. The attacker will be in action in the Copa America with Colombia later this month.
