Chelsea FC set to agree terms with highly-rated English attacker

Chelsea FC are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a new long-term contract with young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. The 18-year-old made his breakthrough with the Blues during the previous campaign and it appears that he is now on the cusp of landing a bumper contract extension.

Hudson-Odoi currently has 12 months remaining on his existing contract with the Blues and this has attracted bids from Bayern Munich, though the Blues have shown no intention to sanction his sale.

According to The Telegraph, the Capital outfit are on the cusp of agreeing a new deal with the England international, who is currently on the sidelines with an Achilles injury.

The same report claims that the imminent appointment of Frank Lampard as the new manager has played a big role in convincing the teenager to prolong his stay with the club.

Hudson-Odoi is scheduled to sign a fresh five-year deal with the Blues in the coming days. His wages are likely to be significantly increased to the region of £90,000-a-week.
