Chelsea FC suffer fresh injury blow ahead of Europa League final against Arsenal

Chelsea FC have suffered another noticeable injury blow ahead of their Europa League final against Arsenal on Wednesday. The west London side have been unlucky with injury setbacks during the backend of the season and this has witnessed the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek (both Achilles) and Antonio Rudiger (knee) sustain season-ending injuries.

Amidst this, fresh reports in the British media suggest that Kante could be a potential doubt for the Europa League final against Arsenal after twisting his knee in training over the weekend.

The Frenchman only recently returned from a hamstring concern and the fresh setback has put him at the risk of missing the Baku final, barring a quick turnaround.

Kante has travelled with the team for the competition’s final but the chances of him making the field seem unlikely at the moment with him not participating in training since the setback.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to hold a press conference tomorrow and we could get a clearer picture whether Kante can feature in some capacity during the crunch European clash versus the Gunners.
