Chelsea drop major hint on Maurizio Sarri’s future

Chelsea could stick with Maurizio Sarri beyond the current campaign after the Italian tactician revealed that he has already begun discussing plans for next term.

The 60-year-old has been criticised at various stages during the ongoing season but he has nonetheless maintained a positive mindset in terms of the response.

In a report covered by Evening Standard, Sarri has revealed that he is content with the recent upturn in results for the team in the Premier League, where they have a realistic chance of making the top four.

Meanwhile, there have been plenty of questions regarding his future with the Blues but Sarri has indicated that he has already started discussing the outlook of the team for next season.

“I feel the same as before, but happier because the results are positive,” Sarri told. “When everyone talked about my dismissal, I was talking with the club to plan the team for next season, so I was always relaxed.”

Chelsea are currently two points behind the top four in the Premier League and they have the destiny in their own hands, considering they have a game in hand over fourth-placed Manchester United.
