Chelsea are reportedly edging closer to the signing of Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City after the Championship outfit recalled the teenager from his loan stint at Newport County.
The 19-year-old has been a huge hit with the League Two side this term with six goals and two assists across all competitions and his progress has certainly caught the eye of the Blues.
A recent report claimed that the west London side had already lodged a £1m bid to pursue the attacker from the Robins and according to Bristol Post, the move could be inching closer with the Championship side recalling their forward from his loan stint.
Upon the move finalising, Semenyo is likely to ply his trade with the Under-23 Blues’ side and it will be interesting to see whether he can make the step up to the first-team thereafter, which has not been the case with several young players at the Bridge over the years.
