Arsenal have reportedly open discussions with Inter Milan regarding the loan signing of Ivan Perisic this month. The Gunners have been hampered by key injuries during the course of the ongoing campaign and much of that has affected the backline.
Still, Gunners boss Unai Emery remains keen on bolstering the wider positions during the ongoing transfer window and according to BBC Sport, the club have made an approach to sign Perisic on a temporary basis this month.
It is added that the north London club are prepared to sign the Croatian on a permanent deal thereafter and they are willing to include an obligatory £35m buy option to enhance their prospects of luring the 2018 World Cup finalist.
Perisic has recently indicated that he still harbours the ambition of playing in the Premier League but the Nerazzurri are unlikely to let him go on the cheap, given there are more than three years remaining on his existing contract with the club.
Despite this, Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has recently hinted that Perisic could pursue a fresh challenge and an agreement would surely provide a boost for the Gunners, given the Croatian has excellent crossing abilities which could benefit the club’s frontmen.
