Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Yannick Ferreira Carrasco after failing in their bid to sign Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.
The Gunners have been focused on strengthening the wider positions before the transfer deadline and they are already on the cusp of pursuing Denis Suarez from Barcelona.
However, that may not end their transfer business for the month and Sky Sports reports that they have begun talks with Chinese side Dalian Yifang regarding Carrasco.
Still, Unai Emery has indicated that the club are in no position to buy during the ongoing month and they are likely to propose to sign him on an initial loan with the option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Carrasco has been a decent hit with Yifang since making the move last winter and he has contributed towards 12 goals for the club across all competitions.
Still, he is understood to be unsettled in the Far East and he is keen on making a return to his home continent with a top European club before the transfer window slams shut.
