Former Manchester United and Everton star Phil Neville has said that Paul Pogba is probably the best in Europe when he is playing to his full potential at Old Trafford.
The France international had recently gone through a tough run under Jose Mourinho where he was in-and-out of the starting lineup but the latter’s sacking has changed his fortunes.
Pogba has started the last two matches under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and during this period, he has excelled with two goals and two assists.
Speaking on BBC Sport, Neville has now heaped praise on the qualities of the Frenchman and believes he is probably Europe’s best midfielder on his day.
“They had the best player on the pitch and probably the best midfielder in Europe on his day in Paul Pogba who has had a disappointing, horrendous last 18 months at the club because of the fall-out with the manager,” he told BBC Sport.
Pogba has the opportunity to extend his bright run of form when the Red Devils entertain Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth in the weekend’s league game at Old Trafford.
The game could witness potential injury returns for Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial while Romelu Lukaku could also return to the fray after his compassionate leave.
