Chelsea FC boss Frank Lampard has provided an injury update on four first-team stars ahead of the forthcoming Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
The west London giants have endured injury concerns since the backend of the previous season and the trend has continued this term with unexpected setbacks.
Still, they have fared exceptionally well under Lampard and the club are currently comfortably placed in the top four before the third international break of the season.
Speaking ahead of the Eagles clash, Lampard confirmed that Mason Mount will be included in the squad for the London derby but a late fitness test would determine whether he would return from the ankle knock sustained in midweek.
Elsewhere, Lampard acknowledged that Ross Barkley is still sidelined with a minor ankle problem but the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are out for the long term.
Rudiger was recently tipped to make his comeback but he has failed to recover from the groin concern. Hence, he has undergone an operation which will keep him out of training for the rest of the month at the least.
Loftus-Cheek, meanwhile, has been going through the indoor drills after recovering from a long-term Achilles injury but Lampard has stressed that the midfielder has no return date at the moment.
