Strongest Predicted Chelsea FC lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Watford, Pulisic and Abraham start

Chelsea FC will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Watford on the road in the Premier League. The Blues saw their seven-match winning run end with a 2-1 League Cup defeat at the hands of Manchester United and the performance was disappointing with just two attempts on target over the course of the tie.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga was afforded with a breather in midweek where Willy Caballero donned the gloves. The Spaniard is expected to start in goal for the visit to Vicarage Road. In the central defence, Lampard should stick with the same combination from recent league games. Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori should keep their positions with Antonio Rudiger still lacking fitness while Andreas Christensen is injured.

Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso had a relatively difficult game against United where he struggled to cope with the movement of Daniel James and he eventually conceded the penalty for the opening goal. Emerson may probably return to the mix for this encounter with Cesar Azpilicueta featuring in the opposite end of the central defence.

In the midfield, there are pretty much no selection doubts. Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are expected to accompany each other in the centre of the park with both Ross Barkley and N’Golo Kante confirmed to be unavailable for the Hornets clash.

Further forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi should definitely drop to the bench after one of his worst performances in the Blues shirt in midweek. The lineup should be similar to the previous matchday with Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount and Willian making up the attack behind Tammy Abraham, who should continue to lead the line.

How Chelsea FC will line up against Watford

Predicted Chelsea FC lineup (4-2-3-1): Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Emerson, Jorginho, Kovacic, Willian, Mount, Pulisic, Abraham.
