Chelsea FC winger Willian has said that he is prepared to extend his contract with the team as he is clearly content with the proceedings under Frank Lampard.
The Brazil international kickstarted the season with three substitute appearances from the opening four league games before earning his maiden start at Wolverhampton Wanderers over the weekend.
While he did not contribute a goal or an assist during the game, the attacker still received special praise from Lampard, who talked up the importance of experienced players in the squad.
Willian’s current deal with the Blues is scheduled to expire at the end of the current campaign and it appears that the Brazilian is more than willing to prolong his stay, should the club come up with the right proposal.
“From my side, I want to stay. I have one year left and I want to stay because I like to play for Chelsea. I love this club, I love to live in London and my family loves it here,” he told.
Willian has been with the Europa League holders for the past six seasons. He has contributed 52 goals and 53 assists from nearly 300 appearances for the club across all competitions.
