Premier League trio Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked with potential moves to sign Marcos Llorente from Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has experienced another frustrating season in the colours of Los Blancos and he has been restricted to just six appearances over the course of the league campaign.
As such, he appears likely to part ways with the club with Zinedine Zidane not favouring his services, and AS claims that the Premier League could emerge as his next destination.
Llorente is also the subject of interest from Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, but there is said to be strong interest emerging from the likes of United, Arsenal and Chelsea in the English top-flight.
Among the trio, the Blues are unlikely to succeed with an approach unless they can overcome the transfer ban and this situation could potentially trigger a two-horse race between United and Arsenal.
Both teams have endured a difficult league campaign where they have missed out on the top four and they are likely to reinforcement the holding midfield role which has remained a problematic position.
The Blues may likewise want another signing at the heart of the midfield after the winter departure of Cesc Fabregas, but that may depend on whether they can freeze their embargo this summer through an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
