Manchester United are prepared to sanction the sale of Eric Bailly to Arsenal this summer, provided the Gunners are willing to match their price tag for the Ivorian defender.
The 25-year-old is currently approaching the conclusion of his third season at the Red Devils, but he has not been able to command a regular starting role due to form and fitness concerns.
As such, the club seem to be pondering over his sale ahead of the summer and Metro claims that the Gunners have come forward with their interest in the centre-back.
As per the publication, the Red Devils are prepared to sell the Ivorian to their direct league rivals, provided the north London side are willing to match the £30m sum, which they paid to sign Bailly from Villareal.
Unai Emery’s side have struggled on the defensive front over the course of the season and they have conceded 50 or more goals for the second-straight Premier League campaign.
Owing to this, they seem keen on recruiting Bailly into their ranks and it remains to be seen whether the defender can witness a change in fortunes in a different environment.
Arsenal are currently working on a restricted budget for the summer and the transfer fees for Bailly are likely to be recouped from the sale of the unwanted players within the first-team squad.
