Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes has basically confirmed that he could be heading to Chelsea after dropping a huge transfer hint on social media.
The 24-year-old, who is currently plying his trade for Zenit St. Petersburg has been linked with the Blues over the past week and it now seems that a transfer is close to completion.
In his official Twitter account, the holding midfielder has recently retweeted a video from a fan welcoming him to Chelsea and this could be a strong indication that the Blues are on the cusp of securing his services.
The former AS Roma man is likely to act as a straight replacement for Cesc Fabregas in the Blues rank after the Spaniard made the switch to AS Monaco last week.
Meanwhile, the Argentine is likely to have a reunion of sorts at the west London side after previously playing alongside Antonio Rudiger and Emerson at the Stadio Olimpico.
No official confirmation has been made regarding a potential transfer though widespread reports indicate that the Blues will pay a sum of around £30m to pursue the midfielder.
