Chelsea sanction transfer of £90,000-a-week star, deal could be announced soon

Chelsea have sanctioned the loan transfer of Michy Batshuayi to Besiktas, Goal.com reports.

Batshuayi has made just 77 appearances for the Blues since joining them from Marseille in 2016.

He has spent half of that period away on loan deals, and he looks set for another one with Besiktas.

The Istanbul giants have agreed to sign the Belgian on a temporary basis with a buy option.

The exact figure for a permanent transfer may depend on his displays. They could pay between £5-11m.

Batshuayi’s current deal expires in June 2022. He will sign a one-year extension before leaving.

The move should be beneficial for Batshuayi as he needs regular game time ahead of next year’s World Cup.

He has been a regular in the Red Devils squad over the years, but can’t take his place for granted.

Batshuayi will hope that he can make a big impression at Besiktas to join them for good next summer.

Chelsea have already sold Olivier Giroud to AC Milan. Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham should leave soon.

Batshuayi has hinted his loan move on Twitter, and a deal could be made official in the next few days.

He has been granted permission to travel to Turkey to finalise the necessary formalities.

Batshuayi currently earns around £90,000-a-week. Besiktas could pay his full salary as part of the loan.
