Owen Hargreaves predicts where Chelsea will finish in the Premier League

Former Manchester United ace Owen Hargreaves has provided a positive reaction following Chelsea’s recent Premier League clash against Manchester City on the road.

The Blues had gone into the game against the Citizens with a six-match winning league streak and they took an early advantage through N’Golo Kante in the 21st minute.

However, their lead could not be sustained with Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scoring before the break and the Cityzens managed to comfortably hold onto their slender advantage in the second half.

The west London side could have lost the game by a greater margin with the individual errors involved but Hargreaves was pleased that the Blues came with the intent to challenge the reigning champions.

He added that there are no question marks over the Blues’ top-four credentials and they should comfortably claim a Champions League spot for next season.

“They came here, came to play, kept the ball and they posed a threat. Watching Chelsea up close there, they’re going to be a top-four team, there’s no question. They were really, really good,” he said.

Chelsea are presently holding a seven-point advantage over fifth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers and they should be able to sustain the gap in the forthcoming games which are winnable.

Still, they need to guard against any complacency after the good work done from the start of the season. The Blues will be in Champions League action at Valencia in midweek.
