Strongest Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-3) to face Liverpool, De Gea and Wan-Bissaka start

Manchester United are at Old Trafford for Sunday’s Premier League meeting against arch-rivals Liverpool. The Red Devils have been dreadful with their performances this term and they go into the game with just one victory from the past seven league matches.

Still, they have always fought hard when they have come against the Reds in the top-flight and the fans will be hoping that the team can deliver a positive result on Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils have received a triple injury boost for the game with Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and David de Gea returning to training.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea seemed out of contention after his injury on international duty earlier this week but he has surprisingly returned to training and is part of the team meeting at The Lowry ahead of Sunday’s clash. He is likely to start in goal.

In the defence, there could be a couple of changes from the previous gameweek with Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka making their comebacks. Wan-Bissaka has been deemed doubtful to make the starting XI after just returning to training but given the importance of the fixture, Solskjaer may take the gamble by picking him in the lineup.

In the midfield, Nemanja Matic seems a certain absentee after picking up an injury in the lead-up to the game. In this case, Scott McTominay, Fred and Andreas Pereira seems the automatic midfield choices with Paul Pogba ruled out with an ankle concern while James Garner has yet to make a breakthrough in the senior setup.

In the attack, Solskjaer may go with the combination of Daniel James, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata. The former two have been undisputed starters this term while Mata may get the nod over Mason Greenwood and Angel Gomes with the manager likely to value the Spaniard’s experience in a crucial league contest for the club.

Anthony Martial remains another possible option in the attack but the Frenchman may be restricted to a cameo role, considering he has been on the sidelines for an extended period of time when compared to someone like Wan-Bissaka.
