Manchester United receive huge triple injury boost ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United have received a massive injury boost with three of their first-team players likely to make their comebacks against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier this week, Solskjaer was doubtful regarding the participation of Anthony Martial and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who had just returned to training while he ruled out David de Gea with a groin injury sustained on international duty.

However, in the lead up to the contest, it was revealed that the trio had reported in training and M.E.N has now confirmed that they have been included in the squad meeting at The Lowry ahead of tomorrow’s late kick-off.

Wan-Bissaka was recently out of action with a bout of tonsillitis and his comeback will no doubt improve the defence, considering his strong tackling capabilities. Likewise, goalkeeperDe Gea remains an influential player between the sticks and he has generally turned up when it comes to the big games for the Red Devils in the past.

Martial’s absence has likewise limited the options for Solskjaer upfront. The Frenchman has been on the sidelines for more than six weeks and compared to Wan-Bissaka and De Gea, he should be lacking match fitness to last the entire 90 minutes. As such, a cameo appearance could be the best case for the France international.
