Lacazette and Aubameyang start, Strongest Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Lyon

Arsenal will be aiming to continue their good pre-season form when they host Lyon in Sunday’s Emirates Cup encounter. The Gunners have won three and drawn one of their friendly games, and the upcoming clash against Les Gones offers the players with the opportunity to add more minutes under the belt before the real season begins.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Lineup:

Bernd Leno is expected to start between the sticks in this game after being rested for the recent 2-2 draw against Real Madrid which saw the Spanish side win through a penalty shoot-out.

In the defence, Unai Emery may prefer the solitary change with Ainsley Maitland-Niles replacing Calum Chambers at right-back after recovering from a minor knock.

Other than that, Sead Kolasinac should feature on the left side of the defence with Calum Chambers and Sokratis, who were impressive together until the latter’s sending off after two yellow cards.

Coming to the midfield and attack, no changes are likely from the previous outing versus Los Blancos. The midfield has been boosted with Matteo Guendouzi and summer recruit Dani Ceballos reporting for training but the game may come too soon for them.

Predicted Lineup: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Willock, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette
