Chelsea FC goalkeeper set to join French giants after rejecting new contract

Chelsea FC have received a potential blow for the summer with young goalkeeper Marcin Bulka reaching a pre-contract agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 19-year-old had impressed under ex-Blues boss Maurizio Sarri during pre-season last summer but he could not make a breakthrough to the first-team with Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero favoured ahead of him.

As such, the Poland youth international typically declined to sign a new Blues deal beyond June 2019 and he has now committed his long-term future to Les Parisiens on a three-year contract.

Alphonso Areola is currently the first-choice goalkeeper at Parc des Princes with the exit of Gianluigi Buffon but Bulka has been promised with a chance of competing for the number one role.

Kevin Trapp from Germany remains another contender in the club’s ranks but reports have emerged that he could make the permanent move to Eintracht Frankfurt after a successful loan spell last term.
