A section of the Chelsea supporters have demanded the surprise return of Jose Mourinho at the helm, should Maurizio Sarri be sacked from the head coach role between now and the end of the season.
Sarri made a strong start to the proceedings with the west London giants and they were at one stage unbeaten after 12 games into the Premier League campaign.
However, their form has since nosedived in the top-flight and in the next 18 games which have followed, they have suffered six defeats – most of which have resulted away from their homeground.
As such, the club’s prospects of making the Champions League through a top-four spot has been hampered on a monthly basis and some fans believe a change could be necessarily for the final two months of the season.
Moreover, some have demanded the potential return of Mourinho at the helm for a third stint, though that remains unlikely, given the recent animosity between the Portuguese and the majority of the fan base.
