‘Let him be 18’, Chelsea star sends warning to Hudson-Odoi amid Bayern Munich interest

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has said that Callum Hudson-Odoi needs to be handled patiently at the west London side despite the transfer interest from Bayern Munich.

The attacker has been left frustrated with the limited gametime under Maurizio Sarri and this has urged him to decline a contract offer on the table by the Blues.

As such, he has been fancied to make way from the club when he enters the final year of his contract in the summer but Rudiger still believes the Englishman can become a vital player for the team in the future.

He added that Hudson-Odoi is only 18 years of age and the teenager should be treated with the same aspect until he can find the consistency in his game.

“That’s what he can become, yes. But he is 18 years old. And one should let him be 18. And do not pretend that he is 27 and already experienced everything,” he said.

The Blues graduate has yet to start a Premier League in his early playing career, although he has already witnessed success in other competitions in the FA Cup and Europa League.
