Manchester United are reportedly keen on bolstering their midfield during the summer with the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal. The Chile international is likely to evaluate his future in the coming months as he enters the final year of his deal with the German champions.
According to La Cuarta, United are prepared to go all-out for the former Juventus man with Jose Mourinho seeking to more experienced in the midfield department, which is expected to be without the services of Michael Carrick next term.
Aside from Carrick’s retirement, the club are also bracing themselves for the potential departures of Maroaune Fellaini and Ander Herrera, with the former yet to commit his future, despite his contract expiring in three months’ time.
Vidal will have turned 31 by the time United pursue his signature, but Cuarta suggests that the club would be willing to pay a sum of around £52.5m to do business with Bayern Munich.
On top of it, the club are prepared to offer Vidal with salary package of around £265,000-a-week, which would make him one of the highest paid players at the club, behind compatriot Alexis Sanchez.
