Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has spotted outside of the Dortmund airport this afternoon. The Gabon international has since boarded a private jet for the English capital, and the deal is likely to be finalised in the next 24 hours.

Earlier on Monday, Arsenal reached an agreement over a £55m fee for the experienced marksman, but the deal was apparently put on halt until Borussia Dortmund could pursue a new centre-forward.
However, it appears now that Dortmund have given the go-ahead for the transfer, though it is yet to be seen on who will come in for the 28-year-old at Signal Iduna Park. Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi, and Fernando Llorente have all been associated, though there is not clear cut agreement for any of those players.
Should things go as planned, Aubameyang is likely to become the Gunners’ highest-paid on wages of around £180,000-a-week whilst he also stands the chance of acquiring the famour number 14 jersey worn previously by the likes of Thierry Henry and Theo Walcott.
