Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the club mistakenly posted the video following the Gunners’ 3-1 Premier League defeat at the hands of Swansea City.
The Gabon international was spotted arriving at the Gunners training ground on Tuesday afternoon, and it appears that all formalities have since been completed with the manager confirming that the deal has been finalised.
Though, Wenger failed to confirm Aubameyang’s arrival in his post-match press conference, it is likely to be a matter of hours before the deal goes through with the club probably setting up an introduction video as well as a photoshoot.
Aubameyang is set to become the Gunners’ third signing of the transfer window following the arrivals of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Konstantinos Mavropanos from Manchester United and PAS Giannina respectively.
Arsenal suffered their seventh Premier League defeat of the campaign during the 3-1 to Swansea on Tuesday night, and they will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday’s late kick-off.
