Chelsea helping out £50m striker to complete summer transfer

Chelsea may have indicated that Diego Costa is no longer in the plans, but the club are ready to assist the player with a personal fitness plan so as to build his fitness. This aspect would be key to help him secure a move away from the club with the likes of Atletico Madrid and AC Milan keen on the transfer. Both clubs are yet to make an official offer for the 28-year-old, who has been frozen out of the first team by manager Antonio Conte, but Chelsea believe that a fitness plan could make the difference.

Costa came to Chelsea in a £32 million deal back in 2014, and he has scored 52 goals in just 89 league appearances in these three years. Yet, there have been constant reports about the Brazilian-born Spaniard being unhappy with life in West London. Atletico Madrid have been banned from signing players until January. It has been the primary reason behind Costa unable to make a switch, despite having been one of the top players in the Premier league over the last three years.

The striker has been training alone up until now. Chelsea have placed a £50 million valuation on the player. While Atletico Madrid are unable to sign him straight away, London Evening Standard reports that Milan want to bring the player only on a loan deal.
