Thibaut Courtois’ agent Christophe Henrotay has revealed that he maintains a constant contact with Real Madrid to discuss his client’s situation at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international has stalled on talks over a fresh contract beyond 2019, and he is said to want at least double of his current £100,000 a week wages in order to extend his stay.
As a result, speculation over his future has heightened with Henrotay confirming that he is updating the shot-stopper’s developments with the European champions.
“Of course Thibaut is of interest to the big clubs, including the latest Champions League winner,” he told Goal.com via Sport Foot . “He’s someone who helps you win games, titles. I meet regularly with those in charge at Real Madrid, and Thibaut’s case has come up.
“My role is to keep him updated on the situation.”
Courtois is currently the undisputed number one at Chelsea, and the club are unlikely to listen any potential offers for his services, given they have no suitable backup in their ranks.
Asmir Begovic has already linked up with AFC Bournemouth, and this has urged the Blues to move in for Willy Caballero to take up the backup duties.
