Premier League holders Chelsea are prepared to reward Eden Hazard with a new bumper deal with the promise of making him the focal point of their future success.
The Belgium international has enjoyed a top season with the west London giants, and this has in hand revived interest from European champions, Real Madrid.
Antonio Conte has recently admitted that it would be hard to guarantee Hazard’s stay beyond the summer, but according to The London Evening Standard, the club’s hierarchy are willing to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Hazard, who is currently contracted to Stamford Bridge until 2020, will be offered a wage package of around £300,000-a-week to put him on par with the Premier League’s highest earners – Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic – both of Manchester United.
The Blues have also begun negotiations over a fresh contract with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois amid a similar interest from Zinedine Zidane’s side.
Conte will get the opportunity to celebrate a domestic double next weekend, should his side beat local rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
Hazard has provided 15 goals and five assists for Chelsea, who have more or less cruised to their fifth Premier League title – the first under Conte.
