Manchester United are reported to be planning a mega-offer for Harry Kane at the end of the season. The England international has been key to Tottenham Hotspur’s progress in recent seasons.
Kane, 23, has already netted 10 league goals for Spurs this term and looks good to break last season’s 25-goal tally which earned him the golden boot.
Italian source Calciomercato claims that the Red Devils are lining up a huge bid for the striker in the summer with Jose Mourinho looking for a potential successor to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Zlatan, 35, has been impressive with his goal tally of 16 in all competitions, but his age remains a concern as Mourinho looks to build a side which could challenge for the league title on a regular basis.
Kane, who inked a fresh six-year deal with Spurs last month, suggested that he would like to conclude his career at White Hart Lane, and this in one way rules out any possibility of him moving elsewhere in the summer.
Nevertheless, crazy things have happened in the transfer window over the years, and the Red Devils would be keeping an eye on the player’s developments this term.
Serie A giants AC Milan are also prepared to lodge a bid for the marksman once their Chinese takeover is complete in the backend of the season.
