Bayern Munich ace Arturo Vidal has dropped a big hint that he could be heading to Stamford Bridge in the current transfer window. The Chile international previously worked under Antonio Conte at former side Juventus.
Vidal has recently fuelled speculation over his future after he liked an Instagram post linking him with a move to the Premier League leaders.
According to The Sun, the Blues are likely to move in for a new midfielder this month following the massive £60m sale of Oscar to Shanghai SIPG.
Conte has always been a huge admirer of Vidal’s abilities, and it is understood that the Blues are willing to cough up an initial £34m in order to lure the Chilean to West London.
Bayern Munich are currently holding out for a £40m fee for their star asset, and it will be interesting to see whether they could negotiate a lesser price for his services in the transfer window.
Chelsea will face-off against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Wednesday night hoping to preserve their nine-point lead over Liverpool at the top.
