Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is prepared to rival Chelsea and Manchester United in the pursuit of highly-rated Torino striker Andrea Belotti. The Italy international has been in a rich vein of form this season netting 13 goals in the Serie A.
The 23-year-old has been closely monitored by a number of elite English clubs this campaign following his impressive showing for both club and country.
According to The Star, Wenger is said to have opened up initial negotiations for the prolific goalscorer with the club yet to solve the contracts of Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.
Giroud has recently got a run of games in the Premier League this season, but with him being on the wrong side of 30, the club would require a replacement sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, Sanchez, 27, has been adamant to extend his stay beyond 2018 with the club in no plans of matching his wage demands of £200,000-a-week.
Belotti has pronounced himself as a deadly goalscorer this term, and though his reputation is not high, he could be a more than decent addition to the squad.
Torino are said to placed a £50m price tag on their star asset, and this is likely to halt Wenger from making any offer until the end of the campaign.
Belotti has netted three goals in five outings for the Azzurri since making his debut against France in September 2016.
