Premier League strugglers West Ham United are prepared to offload Dimitri Payet to Manchester United in January, provided they receive Anthony Martial in exchange.
The 29-year-old was one of the standout performers in the Premier League last season, and this earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year.
Payet has struggled to replicate a similar showing this term, and some of it is down to the average form of his teammates.
According to French publication Le10Sport, manager Slaven Bilic is willing to do business with the Red Devils for Payet, should Martial move in the opposite direction.
Martial, 21, has struggled to cement a regular place under Jose Mourinho this season, but it is highly unlikely that the Red Devils would bow to the Hammers’ request, given the youngster only joined the club last year.
The Special One has largely placed Martial on the substitutes’ bench, but feels he will have more to contribute in the second half of the campaign.
