Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to see the exits of Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay in the January transfer window. The duo have failed to make a single league start at Old Trafford this season.
According to The Mirror, the pair will be heading through the United exit door next month with Everton deemed favourites to pursue their services.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman currently has a £50m transfer kitty to spend fresh on recruits, and this could see both Schneiderlin and Memphis head to Goodison in the New Year.
Jose Mourinho has previously highlighted that he would not come in the way of his fringe players, but the club would still seek to recoup as much as possible.
United are likely to hold out on a £24m sum for Schneiderlin – similar to what they paid to Southampton in 2015. Meanwhile, Memphis is available for just £15m after his nightmare spell in Manchester.
Everton are currently short in the attacking department after Yannick Bolasie sustained a season-ending knee injury, and the arrival of Memphis could encourage the club’s chances of attaining European football.
