Everton are apparently close to wrapping up an agreement to sign Memphis Depay from Manchester United. The Netherlands international has barely featured for the Red Devils this season.
The Dutch attacker had been initially tipped to leave Old Trafford on a temporary basis with Jose Mourinho confident of featuring the player in the future.
However, according to The Star, the Toffees have begun talks over a permanent deal with the Red Devils, and the move is likely to be finalized in the coming days.
Depay has not really made a name for himself at Old Trafford since his early season form last term, but Ronald Koeman would be confident of grooming his counterpart back to his old kind.
The Merseyside outfit are also close to reaching an agreement for Morgan Schneiderlin, who has suffered a similar fate to Depay following the appointment of Jose Mourinho in the summer.
Everton face a tough test against arch-rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday night.
