Manchester United winger Memphis Depay has hinted he is waiting to seal his move to Everton in the winter transfer window. The Netherlands international has played no part for the Red Devils over the past month and has seemingly out-of-favour under Jose Mourinho.
Depay, 22, has failed to cement himself a regular role in the Red Devils’ setup ever since his switch from PSV Eindhoven at the start of last season.
A report from The Manchester Evening News says the Dutchman posted a Snapchat with his friend and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku on Thursday night which hinted that he could be on his way to Goodison.
After another training session, the attacker went on further to post an Instagram video which said: “What’s up, guys? We’re done we don’t talk too much, just getting my work done, and waiting.
“Let’s get this.”
The Toffees are understood to be already in advanced negotiations to recruit Morgan Schneiderlin from Old Trafford, and the latest news is likely to bring a sour taste to Mourinho.
Mourinho is said to be reluctant to offload his players to a side who are potential challengers for Europe, and with the way things are shaping up, both Depay and Schneiderlin could be off to Merseyside in the New Year.
