Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is prepared to bring in a new centre-forward when the transfer window reopens on January 1. The Italian is not entirely convinced with the abilities of Michy Batshuayi, who joined the Blues from Marseille in the summer.
According to German source BILD (Via AS), the Italian has made up a two-man shortlist to bolster his forward department in the January transfer window.
Bayer Leverkusen ace Javier Hernandez is one the players on the Blues radar. The former Manchester United star has netted 38 goals/assists in the Bundesliga, and his prowess is something which has captured the attention of Conte.
Meanwhile, Fernando Llorente is the other player being credited with interest from the Stamford Bridge side. The Spain international has notched six goals in debut campaign with Swansea City and would welcome the chance of a reunion with the manager, he previously worked with at Juventus.
Chelsea currently hold a nine-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the league standings following a record 13th straight league win.
