Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is reportedly prepared to pursue a fresh club in the winter transfer window. The England international has started in just four league outings for the Reds this term.
Sturridge, 27, has struggled to attain a regular run in the Premier League this season with manager Jurgen Klopp favouring the likes of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane, Sturridge in his frontline.
According to The Mirror, the former Manchester City graduate will be eyeing a new challenge this winter after giving up hope on being a crucial figure in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The talented marksman was associated with a possible loan switch to Arsenal in the dying stages of the summer transfer window, and he will once again be the subject of interest from several English clubs.
West Ham United and Stoke City are currently the leading contenders for his signature, but a deal is likely to be delayed until the winter deadline in order to compensate for Mane’s absence at the African Cup of Nations.
Sturridge has netted four times for the Merseyside giants this term, all of which have come in the EFL Cup.
